Frequently asked questions

How do I get a server?
Join our Discord, head to the #request-server channel, and fill out the request form. Answer a few short questions and you'll get a high-end game server for free.
What kind of servers can I run?
Game servers, plus language runtimes like Node.js and Python that are well-suited for things like Discord bots. Minecraft is the most common. No VPS, no general-purpose Linux boxes, no web hosting.
What's the catch?
There isn't one. Capacity is the catch, slots are limited. No ads, no telemetry, no quiet downgrade. If we can't fit you in right now, you'll be told straight away.
How do I manage my server?
Through the panel at panel.netskyway.net. Console, file manager, startup config, backups, the usual.
Is my slot permanent?
Yes, as long as it stays active. Long-inactive slots get suspended but can be manually reclaimed. When a server has zero players, our custom hibernation kicks in instantly. The server stays loaded, no restart needed, and wakes back up in under a second when someone joins.
Where are your servers located?
Both of our nodes are in Petah Tikva, Israel, hosted by Cloud Lease. That makes NetSkyway one of the strongest options for low-latency game hosting across Israel and the wider Middle East. European locations are coming soon.
How much RAM and CPU do I get?
Most servers start with around 2 GB of DDR5 RAM, about 2.5 CPU cores, and 5 to 10 GB of NVMe disk. Most people who request a server are approved, and you can always ask for more.
Can I get more RAM, CPU, or storage?
Yes. Explain your project when you request and well-explained builds can get 6 to 8 GB of RAM or extra CPU cores when we believe in the project. You can also earn tokens by inviting people through our Discord affiliate store and spend them on RAM, CPU, storage, or backups, and we run regular giveaways. If a small survival server is too laggy, we will usually add more RAM.
