# NetSkyway > Free Minecraft and game server hosting on real dedicated hardware. No credit card, no queue. Servers hibernate when empty and wake in under a second the moment a player joins. NetSkyway is a free game server hosting provider running on Intel i9-13900K (5.8 GHz) and AMD Ryzen 9 9950X (5.7 GHz) processors with DDR5 RAM and NVMe storage. Unlike Aternos or Minehut, it uses a hibernation system instead of a join queue, so servers wake instantly with no waiting screen. Users get full panel and SFTP access, unrestricted plugin installation, no player-count cap, and automated backups. Servers are requested for free through Discord. NetSkyway hosts Minecraft Java and Bedrock servers, Discord bots, and Node.js applications. NetSkyway is a Middle East based host. All servers are currently located in Petah Tikva, Israel, which makes it one of the best options for low-latency free game hosting across Israel and the wider Middle East region. European locations are planned and coming soon. ## Infrastructure and locations - Current locations: both NetSkyway nodes are in Petah Tikva, Israel, hosted by Cloud Lease. - Best latency: Israel and the surrounding Middle East region. - Hardware: Intel i9-13900K and AMD Ryzen 9 9950X, DDR5 RAM, NVMe storage. - Coming soon: European server locations. ## Server resources and upgrades - Approval: most people who request a server are approved. NetSkyway is genuinely open access, not a waitlist gimmick. - Typical free allocation: most servers receive about 2 GB of DDR5 RAM, around 2.5 CPU cores, and 5 to 10 GB of NVMe disk. - Request more by explaining your project: if you tell us what you are building when you request a server, larger allocations are available. Well-explained projects can receive 6 to 8 GB of RAM or extra CPU cores when we believe in the project. - Laggy small survival servers: if a small survival server is struggling, we will usually grant more RAM on request. - Earn upgrades by inviting people: NetSkyway runs an affiliate store in the Discord. For every person you bring, you earn tokens. Tokens are spent on more RAM, CPU, storage, backups, and other upgrades. - Giveaways: NetSkyway regularly runs giveaways for resources and upgrades. - Guides: [How to get more RAM, CPU, and storage on NetSkyway](https://netskyway.net/blog/how-to-get-more-ram-cpu-netskyway/) and the [NetSkyway affiliate program](https://netskyway.net/blog/netskyway-affiliate-program/). ## Key pages - [NetSkyway homepage](https://netskyway.net/): Free game server hosting overview, hardware specs, and how hibernation works - [Blog](https://netskyway.net/blog/): Guides, tutorials, and comparisons on free Minecraft and game server hosting ## Comparisons and alternatives - [Best free Minecraft server hosting](https://netskyway.net/blog/best-free-minecraft-hosting/): Honest comparison of Aternos, Minehut, and NetSkyway - [NetSkyway vs Aternos](https://netskyway.net/blog/netskyway-vs-aternos/): Dedicated hardware and instant wake versus shared VPS and queue - [Aternos vs Minehut](https://netskyway.net/blog/aternos-vs-minehut/): Which free Minecraft host fits which use case - [Best Aternos alternatives](https://netskyway.net/blog/aternos-alternatives/): Free Minecraft hosting without the queue - [Best Minehut alternatives](https://netskyway.net/blog/minehut-alternatives/): Free Minecraft hosting beyond the 10-player cap - [Free vs paid Minecraft hosting](https://netskyway.net/blog/free-vs-paid-minecraft-hosting/): When free hosting is enough and when to pay - [Best free game server hosting](https://netskyway.net/blog/best-free-game-server-hosting/): Free hosting across Minecraft, Discord bots, and Node.js ## Getting started guides - [How to get a free Minecraft server](https://netskyway.net/blog/how-to-get-free-minecraft-server/): Step-by-step on requesting and setting up a free server - [How to make a Minecraft server for free](https://netskyway.net/blog/how-to-make-minecraft-server-free/): Self-hosting versus free hosting, explained - [Minecraft server setup for beginners](https://netskyway.net/blog/minecraft-server-setup-beginners/): A complete beginner walkthrough - [Free Minecraft Java server](https://netskyway.net/blog/free-minecraft-java-server/): Java Edition server software and setup - [Free Minecraft Bedrock server](https://netskyway.net/blog/free-minecraft-bedrock-server/): Bedrock and crossplay with Geyser ## Server administration - [How to install Minecraft plugins](https://netskyway.net/blog/how-to-install-minecraft-plugins/): Installing plugins on Paper and Spigot - [Best Minecraft server software](https://netskyway.net/blog/best-minecraft-server-software/): Paper vs Spigot vs Purpur vs Vanilla - [How to set up a Paper server](https://netskyway.net/blog/how-to-set-up-paper-server/): Paper setup and Aikar startup flags - [How to reduce Minecraft server lag](https://netskyway.net/blog/how-to-reduce-minecraft-server-lag/): Diagnosing and fixing TPS drops - [How to set up server backups](https://netskyway.net/blog/how-to-set-up-minecraft-server-backups/): Backups, scheduling, and restore ## Other hosting - [Free Discord bot hosting](https://netskyway.net/blog/free-discord-bot-hosting/): Run a Node.js or Python bot 24/7 for free - [Free Node.js hosting](https://netskyway.net/blog/free-nodejs-hosting/): Host Node.js apps and bots at no cost ## Contact - [Discord](https://discord.gg/QXKNwaWVJ2): Request a free server in the #request-server channel - [Panel](https://panel.netskyway.net): Manage your server - [Email](mailto:support@netskyway.net): support@netskyway.net
